This is a very good article by Jim Schley of Macromedia on creating ColdFusion Applications that can integrate with Microsoft Active Directory for authentication and authorization of users and groups.
Rob Brooks-Bilson just had Programming ColdFusion MX released as a 2nd Edition from O”Reilley books. The new version has just about every chapter re-written and there are details and a sample chapter here.
