Why Webapper is Sponsoring the Frameworks Conference
Let’s face it, for CF developers there are only a few events each year where we get to stop working for a couple days and learn something new. For many of us that work on laptops in our home offices or in a box with fabric coated walls simply standing in the same room with other programmers has its advantages. The frameworks conference coming up this week is a conference you should attend if you’re not already.
Putting on these conferences takes work, a lot work. I worked from the sidelines with Robi Sen almost 10 years ago to put on the first CF conference ever. It was exhausting. Then I organized the first Fusebox conference the next year. You try it sometime, it’s harder than you think.
Liz and Michael at Teratech do an amazing job arranging conferences for us developers. I’m glad they’ve taken over this conference. We at Webapper want to support them as much as we can so they’ll continue to put on these conferences. So Nat and I are speaking and Patrick is manning the Webapper table to show off SeeFusion and just talk turkey with other developers. We are always looking for new projects and other CF developers for our existing projects.
If you have the means, call up Liz and offer to Sponsor the Frameworks conference. Buy a table to sell your consulting services. Or stop by our table and chat with us. You never know, we may need you or you may need us.

Oh i didn’t mention the obvious reason for sponsoring. Every time we’ve sponsored a CF conference in the past it has paid for itself.
