DNS The Fastest Way We Have Found To Add And Change Records – Ultra DNS
I am reposting this blog entry after reading the trials and tribulations Doug Hughes went through in the past week.
At Webapper our main business is Architecting and Building Web Applications. We do have several clients who also asked us to host their applications. Adding to and changing DNS entries was always a challenge with all the hosting companies we used. So we found a company called UltraDNS and that is all they do Domain Name Services they are truly great and our DNS changes and additions are now a snap. We have a secured web interface and making additions or changes takes literally minutes and propagate most times within minutes in the USA.

Nice tip! I also suggest the great ZoneEdit which works great for me and my clients since 1999.

I’ve been using DtDNS for almost 8 years… Coldfusion site too!

I highly recommend Nettica:

The cost for UltraDNS seems way out of line. With Nettica I pay $50.00 Per year for each block of 100 domains.
They also have a very easy to use management console. I have no affiliation with Nettica other than being a very satisfied customer.

Hey Gus. Thanks for the suggestion. We’ve been extremely happy with UltraDNS, in particular with the speed of the their propagation. But, you can never have enough good tools in your toolbox. Thanks again.
Best,
Patrick
