cfcUnit Looks Very Promising

Filed under: Miscellaneous — Mike Brunt @ 12:00 am

I stole this from Sean Corfields blog, so apologies there Sean. For the past 4-5 years we have been very active in helping some of Macromedia’’s largest clients either fix or get ready new Web Applications for the World Wild Web. If an application is constructed well (and you cannot go wrong for instance by using Sean Corfield’’s Livedocs coding guidelines masterpiece as your blueprint), if the little devils in the details are watched and well planned and structured testing takes place, the results can be amazing and I am not exaggerating. Sean covers Unit Testing in his blog post and we have used that along with Functional, Integration and Load testing as I said over many years, some whilst working for Allaire-Macromedia.

Paul Kenney has created what looks like a really promising Unit Test utility suite called cfcUnit. we will certainly be watching this closely. To use this by the way you will need CFMX 6.1 qnd the Mach-ii framework.
