At a recent Macromedia-IBM-Websphere seminar a San Diego based company (Cybersage) demonstrated a Flash plug-in called “Firefly”. The plug-in is claimed to have several options, an XML plug in that allows Flash applications to read from and write to XML datasources, a Remoting option that allows allowing editing and updating of data without writing ActionScript and a SQL Server option allowing Flash developers to work natively with SQL Server and SQLXML again without writing ActionScript.
